LEARN THE BASICS OF STOCK MARKET INVESTING
Enter the exciting world of investing by learning the basics of stock market investing.. The only way to get good at it is to trade stocks either for real or on paper. My advice is to trade on paper for 1 to 2 years before doing the trading yourself. You can reduce the time required to get experience by doing extensive back testing (more on this later). Learn the basics of stock market investing early so you will not lose your money later.
What is a portfolio? Learn the basics of stock market investing by using a portfolio? Your portfolio is a collection of stocks in one account. I recommend buying only 10 stocks. Each stock should equal one tenth of your buying power. You will have some stocks, which go down in value. Get used to it. Sell your stocks when they go down more than 10% on a week-by-week basis (check them each Friday). That way when one stock goes down 10% the entire portfolio will only go down 1%.
Which side of the market are you on? Learn the basics of stock market investing by knowing which side of the market you are on. Is it going up or down? If you want your stocks to go up then make sure you sell all your stocks when it is going down. Your task is to come up with a source, which will tell you when it is going up or down. The biggest mistake new traders make is trying to hold stocks (which they want to go up) in a down market and vice versa. Don't get married to your stocks. When the market turns down, sell all your stocks even the good ones; you will be happy you did. Some of the very best stocks will go up even during a down turn but who is to say which ones they are until after the down turn.
Predicting versa following the market. Learn the basics of stock market investing by knowing the difference between predicting versa following the market. Don't try to predict the market, just follow it. It will tell you when a down turn or an up turn is happening. Many people have been caught in trying to predict it. You can make plenty of money in just following the market. Following the market reduces risk.
