2007 BIGGEST GAINERS CURRENT TRADES
STRATEGY
This is my 2007 live trades portfolio. You can watch as I trade.
I will buy a maximum of 6 stocks for this portfolio. I will divide my buying power into 6 stocks. I am starting this portfolio for this year with $25,000. The buying formula will tell me when to buy and when to sell. I won't pick the stocks. The formula will pick the stocks. I spent 5 years developing the formula to buy and sell. I will not get attached to these stocks. When it's time to sell then I will sell. When it's time to buy then I will buy. I always keep looking back at the history of this formula to gain confidence in this stategy Confidence building History.
Typically I will purchase between 15 to 30 stocks per year with this formula. I only buy and sell once per week on Monday and I will post my buys and sells on Saturday or Sunday prior to buying and selling. Now follow as I trade!

September 25, 2007 7AM
- I have a confirmed DOWN pivot point. The portfolio will sell all stocks at the best price today.
September 22, 2007
- The portfolio is down 22.96%. I messed up on the first sell point. The pivot point is still showing an "UP" signal. I have corrected this calculation. So the portfolio will go long with the following stocks: ABAT, GLOB, KTOS, and PLM.
September 17, 2007
- The portfolio hit it's 1st pivot point DOWN. The portfolio will sell all stocks tomorrow and wait for the next up Pivot Point.
September 15, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 22.55%. There are no buy or sell recomendations from the formula today. Please check back each day for updates. The formula will be checking each day for new buys and sells. It will also be checking for market turns. If it finds a downturn then the formula will sell all stocks in the portfolio and then wait for the market to turn up at which time the formula will buy 5 new stocks (if they are available). I am still optimizing the new formula to work both in high and low interest rate periods. Below is the currently optimized results backtested to January 1 of this year. Notice the flat spots in the chart below. This represents the periods between the complete portfolio sells and when the portfolio starts buying again. The cart below shows about a 60% gain YTD. Check back daily to see how the new formula is working.

This is the 2007 Gain/Loss Chart of the new formula.
September 12, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 25.15%. I have called a halt to this formula. Let me explain why. This formula is great when interest rates are low or decreasing, but has little gain during increased intrest rates. I have developed a new formula which shows good increase during both low interest rates and higher interest rates.
Therefore, as of today, I am implementing a new formula which is very close to the original formula but is more consistant when the interest rates are high or increasing. I will explain more about the formula later but the major change is that it has to be operated on a daily basis instead of a weekly basis. This is the part about it that I don't like but the results should be much better than the last two years. The major thing this formula does is sells all stocks when the market shows signs that it is decreasing and buys when the market is increasing. These pivot points can happen anywhere between 2 days and 2 months apart.
I will present a graph up of the testing later and more explaination.
The stocks listed above are the first round of buys. Like I said before, these buys could last 2 days to 2 months.
September 8, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 24.73%. The portfolio has no buy and one sell signals for (WLSN). This will take the portfolio to all cash. There is only two ways the market can go from here. Up is good and down will put pressure on the Feds to reduce rates sooner than later. So as usual we will wait to see which way the market goes.
September 1, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 24.13%. The portfolio has no buy or sell signals. It looks like to me that from a historical view that after a prolonged downturn and a two weeks of upturn then we will see from 4 to 12 weeks of an upturn. I am now waiting for the formula to start buying. It also looks like the Feds might reducing intrest rates. When this happens is when I anticipate the portfolio to start increasing at a much faster rate.
August 24, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 24.57%. The portfolio has no buy or sell signals. There are increasing signs that the market is increasing. I am looking at the coming weeks of increasing Momentum.
August 17, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 24.91%. The portfolio has no buy signals but has one sell signals for (VTO). What a wild ride last week! I'm still seeing the my indicators saying we are at the bottom of this pullback. How long we will sit at the bottom will be answered in the next few weeks.
August 11, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 22.22%. The portfolio has no buy signals but has two sell signals for (ESST) and (PESI). The only good last week was that 4 of 5 indicators I watch were flat or went up slightly.
August 4, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 18.41%. The portfolio has no buy or sell signal. The bad news is that the market went down last week big time. The good news is that the buy/sell ratio is so low that historically it is either on the bottom or will drop slightly this week before a pause and then retrace. If the market starts a retrace then the portfolio may add to the existing stocks on the way up.
July 27, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 15.46%. The portfolio has no buy or sell signal. The market did go down last week and I don't think it's over going down yet. But as usual, we don't predict the market we just follow the market.
July 21, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 14.08%. The portfolio has a sell signal for PHC and no buy signals. The market went down last week. We may be seeing another market decline. HOw much is yet to be determined.
July 14, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 11.61%. The portfolio has no sell signal but has a buy signal for E S S Tech (ESST). The market started a value decline around May 10 and started a market value increase on July 2 and has shown a gradual increase since then. But at least for now the market is increasing.
July 7, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 14.15%. The portfolio has no sell signal but has a buy signal for Wilsons Leather (WLSN).
July 1, 2007
- I was on vacation this week but there were no buy or sell signals.
June 23, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 15.75%. The portfolio has no sell or buy signals for this week. We will see where this market is going next week.
June 16, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 13.31%. The portfolio has no sell or buy signals for this week. The market value has been decreasing since 5/9/07. The overall market timing started decreasing around 6/4/07 and turned back up on 6/13/07. It has had 3 consecutive days of market timing and price increases. It is also interesting that the portfolio formula has picked so few selections these last few months. Where is this market going? I'm going to keep a close watch on the overall value of the market. If it continues to decrease then we could be in for a overall market decline. In the meantime the formula is still sticking with the above three stocks for now.
June 9, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 14.99%. The portfolio has no sell or buy signals for this week.
June 2, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 13.16%. The portfolio has no sell or buy signals for this week. The market looks like it is firming up for another push up.
May 26, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 14.16%. I'm finally back on line. The site would not let me edit files. The site manager finally switched me over to a different program to edit files.
Let me bring you up to date.
As reported on 4/28/07 the portfolio dropped WEL on 5/7/2007 at $2.12.
On 5/14/07 sold GTW at $1.85.
On 5/14/07 bought 1100 shares of PESI at $2.79.
On 5/21/07 sold EVOL at $1.78.
April 28, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 12.20%. The portfolio has no sell or buy signals this week. Boots&Cts ItlWl WEL is still down but the distribution of new shares appears to have ended. The value of the stock still has not dropped from before the distribution. I will give this stock this next week. If it does not come up by the end of Friday trading then the portfolio will be dropping this stock.
April 21, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 12.17%. The portfolio has no sell or buy signals this week. The formula actually reported a sell on Boots&Cts ItlWl WEL but I am going to keep this stock as a good stock and this is why. On April 18, WEL reported that it had priced a public offering of 26.0m common shares at USD $2.10 per share. The offering is expected to close on 24 April 2007. The stock price dropped from the potfolio purchase price of $2.72 to a low of $2.05 and has now recovered to $2.23. The portfolio will try to purchase additional share of WEL on Monday while the price is down. I suspect that after the close on April 24, the price will start rising back to its former highs. The Value of this stock did not change when the stock took a dive.
April 14, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 9.35%. The portfolio has no sell signals this week. There is a buy signal for Boots&Cts ItlWl WEL. The portfolio has increased over 2.5% last week and the formula is starting to buy more stocks. The market has climed every day since March 29 with only one down day. So be prepared for more down days as the market continues to climb.
April 7, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 13.00%. The portfolio has no buy or sell signals this week. The market has firmed up and will most likely continue the upward direction. However there are no buys yet. They should be showing up shortly if the up trend continues.
March 31, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 13.19%. The portfolio has no buy or sell signals this week. All I can say is that it looks like the market is holding after a three day drop this with with the last two days as up days. If next week build on this we may have our confirmation that the market is recovering. Even the gurus I watch aren't doing much better this year. We have really been stuck for about 3 months. The portfolio really hasn't done to bad through this down turn. The real problem is that the market does not have any real strenth. And once again we will look forward to next week for where this market is going.
March 24, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 13.87%. The portfolio has no buy or sell signals. The buys of the buy/sell ratio increased substantially and the sells decreased substantially last week. Gateway has show some signs of life! It is up 6.15%. I am looking for a confirmation that the market is going up with another up week. If it does not top last weeks high then it may turn down again. I think that the increase last week was a strong one and think the market will continue up this week. But as always we will wait and see.
March 17, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 14.80%. The portfolio has no buy or sell signals. The buys decreased in the buy/sell ratio and the sells increased last week. Although I don't think the market will go into a recession I do feel that the market is not through going down yet. The portfolio still has 3 buy signals and one hold signal for the four stocks in the portfolio.
March 10, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 16.48%. The portfolio has no buy or sell signals. The buys increased in the buy/sell ratio but the sells did not decrease last week. We may not be through the overall market decrease. But we will have to wait until next week to see.
March 3, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 15.74%. The portfolio has two sells BCGI and VIV. There are no buys this week.
BCGI has restated it's books and will restate more of its books in April. The best thing is to exit this stock. Watch this stock on Monday & Tuesday to see if it rises. If it does try to get a good price but try to get it sold by mid-week. The portfolio will sell this stock on Monday.
VIV took a big hit also. Watch this stock on Monday and Tuesday to see if it pops up. Try to get it sold by mid week. The portfolio will sell this stock on Monday.
Nobody can predict this market. But from my standpoint the market is not in a bad condition. There is still room for stocks to decrease. The number of overall stocks in a sell mode has doubled (about 21%) while the number of buys have decreased by 1/3 (about 11%). The portfolio is not in a bad condition. It only lost 2 of the six stocks, 2 stocks are in a hold condition, and 2 are still in a buy condition. Next week should tell which way this market is going.
February 24, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 5.72%. There are no sell or buy signals. Last week the buy/sell ratio hit the highest point since October of last year. This may be significant as typically after hitting this high of level the market starts backing off. The portfolio will not change it tactics! If the market backs off too much the portfolio formula will have fewer stocks to pick from. The portfolio should be up but has not hit a number of good stocks yet. Patience is required at this time.
February 17, 2007
- The Portfolio is Down 6.19%. There are no sell or buy signals. The portfolio saw a modest increase in a number of stocks. GTW still holds on with an increasing value. Hopefully the price will follow. PIHC has broken out and passed its January 5 high of $3.25 and has now hit a new 52 week high of $3.39. Even though the value is staying flat from about 1/24/2007 the other indicators are moving up.
2/21/07 - I made a correction to "P H C Inc A" which the name was correct but the symbol was incorrect "PIHC" should be "PHC". Sorry for any problems this may have caused.
February 10, 2007
- The Portfolio is down 7.35% YTD. The portfolio has no buy or sell signals. GTW really hasn't performed but it has not hit a sell signal yet. GTW is still in a holding pattern and all the rest are in a buy position.
February 3, 2007
- The Portfolio is down 4.71% YTD. The portfolio has a sell signal for GRIN and a buy signal for Evolving System EVOL. Last month was a downer. But the last week has show a positve increasing market.
January 27, 2007
- The Portfolio is down 1.87% YTD. There are no sells or buys this week. We are just waiting to see where this market is going. Next week should give us more signs of where it is going.
January 20, 2007
- The Portfolio is down 3.15% YTD. The portfolio is repopulated and it has added PIHC. There are no sells or buys this week. The portfolio is off to a bumpy start this year. Even though the overall market went up on Friday, the overall market went down slightly on a week to week basis.
January 13, 2007
- The Portfolio is down 2.53% YTD. We will be going back into the same stocks but will drop XETA as it has a sell recommendation. The portfolio has a buy recommendation for P H C Inc A PIHC. I will write more later.
January 6, 2007
- The Portfolio is down 1.15% YTD. There are no sells or buys this week but I have three indicators in our market timming which have turned down. The safe thing to do at this time is to sell all stocks. So on Monday I will be putting the portfolio into cash until we see where this market is going.
